Samoa Joe’s contract had apparently expired according to many different wrestling news websites and recently worked last night’s show without a contract in a match with Jeff Jarrett. But it has also come out that he has signed a new deal within TNA or is close to signing a new deal. He is expected to be at the tapings tonight.
Ric Flair was not at the PPV last night, but is expected to be at the tapings this week
Jeff Hardy almost did not make the main event and could have been pulled from the main event picture, with him being stripped of the title. Last night there were major concerns about his condition to wrestle the event and plans were being made to change the main event. But he did sort himself out and was able to wrestle the main event as scheduled. He does have a court hearing on Wednesday over drug charges.
TNA Impact tapings are schedule for tonight, tomorrow, Thursday the 9th and Friday the 10th of December building up the TNA Genesis PPV in the New Year. TNA Impact taping results will be up on the site tonight.

Greenfield Review: My Top 50 wrestlers list of all time!
Hi
My name is Charlie Greenfield. This is my first edition of the Greenfield Review for quite a while and is making its debut on pwrestlingnews.com. I have written columns in the past for pro wrestling insider extra and wrestling-edge.com. This edition of the Greenfield Review is focusing on a list compiled by WWE, ranking the best wrestlers from 1 to 50. The reason for doing this is because WWE is about to release a DVD called “50 Greatest Superstars” and the ranking list they released does not make fair assumptions for some of the wrestlers. Surely Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair should at least be in the top 10? But maybe it’s because they are being punished for being in TNA. Why is Sting not in the list? Why is Kurt Angle ranked so low?
This was the list WWE released:

TNA wrestler Mick Foley was a guest of Geek Week Live, where he was being interviewed. During the interview Mick Foley stated that his contract expires in the next 9 months and is considering not to resign with the company in TNA.
“I love the idea of having a part-time job that pays well,” Foley said. “TNA has been a real blessing in that sense. I would rather be motivated, but it’s still nice in this economy to have a job like that.
“That will expire in eight or nine months. The chances of that relationship continuing are probably not that good. Once you have Hulk Hogan as the face of your company, there’s no need for me. And one of the challenges they have on their show, and I understand completely, is there’s only so much room for the non-wrestling talker every week, and I had a lot of time to do that for a year and a half.”
Mick Foley is happy in TNA, but has been quite honest about some of the frustrations that TNA has. I think Mick Foley is a massive asset to the company because of his experience. He has not been able to produce that many great promos and be used as a special act in the ring. I think he expected to be used more in a non-wrestling role, than an actual wrestler. With Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair in TNA being in non-wrestling roles and there is only a certain amount of TV time available, it can be frustrating. I think Mick Foley has made it clear he wants to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and can see that happening in 2012, when his contract with TNA expires.

- Ric Flair is said to be a strong supporter of Matt Morgan. Flair sees tremendous potential in Morgan and has been mentoring him behind the scenes at recent iMPACT! tapings.
- TNA president Dixie Carter is getting serious about protecting her talent from head injuries and recently spoke to former WWE star and concussion awareness champion Chris Nowinski. As part of this effort, TNA star Ken Anderson recently announced on Twitter that the company has banned unprotected chair shots to the head.
- To update the story of TNA’s Miss Tessmacher working at a Hooters restaurant in Houston, TX, the latest is that she did in fact work there – but it was only so she could enter a Hooters waitress bikini contest.
