New Jack PROFILE |
New Jack profile written by
Wayne K. Wilkins
When you think of infamous professional
wrestling names such as Rick and Scott Steiner,
Dr. Death Steve Williams and "Hardcore" Bob
Holly, you simply get a shiver down your spine
at the possibility of facing them in a wrestling
ring, or worse, a dark alley. The final name
that pops into your head is the name of New
Jack, which stops your heart dead in its tracks
and you are likely to ever recover. Yes, the
name "New Jack" is THE most infamous name in
professional wrestling history, THE most feared
name in professional wrestling history. The name
in general holds secrets and truths that most
people do not see; some people simply see New
Jack and think; "Not worthy of being a pro
wrestler, disgrace to our sport and too
controversial to have a place." That would be
where you are wrong, my friends.
Yes, New
Jack has indeed earned a history of infamy from
his actions in and out of the ring, from the
brutal and bloody massacre of underage pro
wrestler "Mass Transit" in Extreme Championship
Wrestling and his bloody unscripted beating of
75 year old pro wrestler Gypsy Joe, as well as
other such incidents as stabbing an untrained
Independent wrestler to teach him some respect,
but with those incidents aside, if you can find
it to put them aside for a moment, do you know
the REAL New Jack?
New Jack is simply one
of a kind; the man is capable of bad things, he
can be immature and he can be the most evil man
you ever met in your life, if you get on the
wrong side of him. However, from viewing his
shoot interviews and his documentaries, if you
show him respect, he will treat you with respect
and you have a friend for life.
New Jack
began his career in professional wrestling in
the 90's teaming up with a man by the name of
Mustafa, together they were known as The
Gangsta's and had an on-going rivalry with the
legendary Rock N' Roll Express, Ricky Morton and
Robert Gibson, both of whom trained New Jack in
the art that he uses in the ring, as well as
breaking him into the business by putting him
over to the fans all over the world.
New
Jack garnished much success as a tag-team
wrestler, but his more famous moments were for
his brutal singles matches in ECW, the majority
of which he would have his entrance music
playing throughout the match. He became famous
for taking huge risks, bumps and blood loss in
his matches, as well as inflicting the same to
his opponents. His highest and most flawed risks
are in his matches with Vic Grimes, in which Vic
botched a spot they had agreed on, and the fall
cost New Jack months of his career as well as
the use of his right eye.
New Jack got
his own back by throwing Vic Grimes during a
high incident match from 40 feet above the
ground and purposely missing the stacked up
tables discussed for the spot, putting Vic
Grimes out of action as a matter of revenge, to
which New Jack will openly tell you, "I have no
regrets."
Today New Jack can be seen
primarily on the independent circuit rarely, and
has not appeared in a mainstream organization
since 2003 which was in Total Nonstop Action.
