So, let me get this straight. Teddy Long is supposed to be comic relief right? How do you announce a match with stipulations in advance and then change the stipulations after the match? Remember when the rules meant something?
If you missed the conclusion of Smackdown Friday night let me tell you how Raw's three hour 3-4-All special came to be promoting a Triple-threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Teddy Long, in the opening segment announced a match between Edge and Jeff Hardy to determine a number one contender. Both lost the title at Sunday's Extreme Rules Pay-per-view and were contractually entitled to a re-match. The match ended when Jeff Hardy was disqualified for outside interference when ChickenMonkeyPunk slid into the ring and attacked Edge. It may be supposed that Edge threw Hardy over the announce table into ChickenMonkeyPunk's lap on purpose in an attempt to enrage the Champion, in hopes that Punk would be stupid enough to attack him. In which case, it was a sound strategy that worked to perfection. So, in accordance with Mr. Long's pre-match stipulation, Edge is the number one contender and will wrestle for the title on Raw Monday night. But since WWE Creative likes casting Mr. Long in the role of Village Idiot, we go back to Long's office to find out that he lied to the Smackdown audience earlier in the night. I can't speak for the rest of the WWE Audience (Sorry, "universe") but I for one am tired of the bait and switch routine.
Not long ago Chris Jericho was disqualified in a Fatal Four Way match for hitting Rey Mysterio with a chair. If you were watching the same show I was, you saw someone else throw the chair into ring, Chris picked it up and threw it out of ring. Rey, outside of Chris' field of vision jumped the ropes and RAN INTO THE CHAIR!!! Inadvertent content is never grounds for a DQ. Besides which...A fatal-Four-Way is supposed to be NO DQ. The word "fatal" in the name is supposed to mean sudden death. It wasn't an elimination match. Chris' elimination would have ended the match. Do the monkeys in the back at WWE even speak to each other anymore? Or does a whole new creative team get hired every week?
Vince...I am begging you to end the Reign of Error and get that moron off of my plazma television.
