Scott Hall Title History
Scott Hall in some ways may be considered one of the greatest to never be a World Champion in the mainstream companies and that is a shame. There is a reason for that and it has to do with him having some alcohol issues. To understand his career, it’s time to take a look at the mainstream companies he’s competed in and what’s been going on with him career.
He had a run in the AWA teaming up with WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Curt Henning and was an AWA World Tag Team Champion. Soon, he would appear in WCW before he returned in a much better role by the way and was more experienced by that point in time. Though that run could be considered not memorable and something that needs to commented on.
Looking to build up a career, he had come to the WWF under the name Razor Ramon. Though he was a heel, it couldn’t be denied that he was getting popular. Eventually he would have a face run and would be known as one of the great Intercontinental Champions that would be in the mid 1990s. He could have possibly had a run as the WWF Champion but that never happened. I’m not sure what the reason was at the time.
When he came to WCW, he would have great success. He would hold the US, TV, and Tag Team Titles but would not get the WCW Title. He was one of the leaders of the New World Order and was also was one of the guys involved in the Wolfpac. Probably by then, it became more apparent of his problems outside of the ring becoming a major factor in him not getting the World Title in his career there.
Hall would return to the WWE though it didn’t last long and didn’t amount to anything. An attempt to recreate the New World Order feel was a complete bomb and fans weren’t buying into it especially when Hulk Hogan was getting cheered and not booed as originally intended to be. He wouldn’t accomplish anything in this run and would be gone due to the plane ride incident back in 2002.
He would be on and off with TNA though he is currently not going to be returning for a while if ever due to the latest no-show. He was in Puerto Rico and did win the WWC Universal Title possibly giving him a World Title that could recognized in all of wrestling. It really is such a shame that Scott Hall had all these problems otherwise he could have had perhaps one of the single greatest careers in history.
