Give ‘em hell in Heaven, Macho Man

As I may have said before I grew up in a family that loved wrestling. We would go down the Boutwell Auditorium to watch The Armstrong’s take on The Stud’s Stable. Back then it was all about the territories. At a risk of aging myself I would proceed by saying that…..then came the 80′s and WWF. My very first non-Continental Championship Wrestling memories happened on the night of November 22, 1986. Don’t quote me but I think it was an episode of Saturday Nights Main Events. I remember the colors on the show to be so vibrant, nothing like the dull coloring of the rest of the shows on tv. The match that stands out that night just happen to be between two guys I’d never seen before. Those two men just happened to use that moment to create a moment that would last in my mind forever. Not since I watched the Dirty White Boy hang Tom Pritchard by the neck with a rope had I seen something as barbarian as the show these two men created.

Normally the ringside bell is used to remind the grapplers to start and stop their match but on this night  “Macho Man” Randy Savage gave the bell a different purpose. I think every fan has a match tucked away into the corners of our minds of our most unforgettable moments and this is one of mine. Throughout the years Randy Savage would continue to be consistent and give us the madness we had come to expect from him. He had a style that was flamboyant yet never left a doubt in our minds that he was all man. He was a glory hound who wouldn’t be outshined even by his very classy, reserved wife. He was the quintessencial villain left you wondering, to this day, where the character ended and the man began. We despised the way he treated Miss Elizabeth but loved him when he came to her defense. And COME ON anyone who loves a good character simply had to love it when he ditched the goody-goody image of the Mega Powers and put a spotlight stealing Hogan in his place. I  mean, what kinda man hoists another mans girl onto his shoulders?

Just recently, we heard that the reason Savage never returned to WWE was because he gave Vince 5 across the lip in a bar one night. I love the idea of this as it stands true to who we understood him to be. No matter how it came to be that we haven’t seen him in a ring for several years througout the years one thing remained true; he was who he said he was. If he said ”I’ll kick your ass” he did it. Whether he was the “Macho Man” or the “Macho King” or just sitting at the table being one of the best wrestler color commentators to date he left no doubt that there was someone who was not to be ignored in the room. Pomp and Circumstance will never be remembered as the song I marched to at my 8th grade graduation but the song that meant “Macho Man” was coming.

The news of his death was shocking to all of us. For years he’s remained out of the spotlight as we longed for his return. I find comfort in the thought that he stepped away from the spotlight and into a life where he found a new love with his wife Lynne. Rumor has it that WWE has attempted to induct Savage into the Hall of Fame for quite some time now but he refused the request suggesting that his father, Angelo Poffo, be inducted first. Within the next few years I  think it would be very fitting to have them both finally inducted as they have done a great service to the wrestling business. Although, I am saddened by his untimely death I can’t help but want to be a fly on the wall in a room with Savage, Miss. Elizabeth and Sherri Martel.

See you in that main event in the sky Randy Poffo. We still love you down here.

The Taker is a giver

Each year I look forward to Wrestlemania with excitement because I know this is when WWE gives us what they’ve got. Sometimes that’s good. Sometimes it’s not so good. Sometimes you’re just glad they show an encore so you can at least get your 60 bucks worth. A few years ago someone behind the scenes, in Connecticut, had a great marketing light bulb moment. I don’t know when “the streak” was created or whether it was intentional or not but it was sheer genius. Each year people, who don’t order ppv events on a regular basis, will press the button the “order now” just to see brilliance of an Undertaker/Wrestlemania moment.

This year, as we know, there was much concern over whether or not Taker would be physically able to attend Mania. He was “taken out” last year by Nexus and while he was out decided “hey why not have some much needed shoulder surgery”. But not to let us down he returns weeks before Mania but as it stood he would not get the opportunity to destroy Wade Barrett on “the grandest stage of them all”. Where does HHH come into play? Well, we all know the storyline so I won’t bother with that. Let’s face it, as you scan the WWE roster who else would you find who is professional enough to carry a match and career of an injured Taker? The fact is, Taker was not 100% and without HHH there wouldn’t have been a match. This match was art.

I was able to remain pretty stationary as I watched the show. At HHH’s entrance I parked my chair right in from on my tv. I swear I thought I would have a heart attack as I watched. My good friend Greg and Ibegan texting back and forth as best we could while watching. As I look back at the texts I recall a texting in all caps proclaiming “HE GOING TO KILL HIM!!” As I screamed at the tv to the point where I crossed my fingers that the neighbors wouldn’t call the police on me again. To tell the truth I’m  a bit shell-shocked after the whole Lady GaGa incident. I recall an interview where Calloway explained how he learned the art of ring psychology by watching Jake “the Snake” Robert. I know I wasn’t the only fan captivated by every move he made. Taker had us all bought and sold and we had no idea what was taking place.

Prior to Mania, there was little interaction between the two warriors. They spent weeks going back and forth to RAW and Smackdown talking at one another. They had their initial face to face and the psychology began with the last encounter. HHH proclaiming that he would “die” trying to defeat Taker but thought better of putting his career on the line like his bff Shawn has done. The Monday night preceding Mania pulled all of the pieces together as HBK put in his 2 cents. Shawn asks HHH “what makes you can do what I couldn’t?” Who didn’t love that? I know I’m paraphrasing but you had to love it when Taker told HHH to ask ‘your punk ass boy’ about trying to get a win against him at Mania. At least that’s how I heard it. Then with a pitying smirk and a tip of his hat Taker sank HHH’s battleship.

At the end of Sunday nights match both men had given and taken the best the other had to give. Taker’s back told the story of abuse and kaos. His eyes, his face and his body told a story without one word spilling from his mouth. As he was carted away from the ring each and every one of us knew that he had given us everything he had……… because that’s what he wanted us to feel. As far as I was concerned Wrestlemania was officially over. I don’t recall a lot of what happened afterwards because I was honestly exhausted. THIS my friend is exactly what a Wrestlemania match should be.

We are now left questioning whether or not Taker will return to wrestling. I think he should take the time to heal his body. But I also think he has one more Wrestlemania in him. Not only are we not done with him but I don’t think he’s done with us.

I’m sorry did “The Rock” finally come back or make a pit stop?

As expected, everyone is commenting on this Sundays Wrestlemania 27. Because Wrestlemania envelopes more than the actual day of the event I decided to sit back and allow the events to marinate for a little while. I don’ t know how I’m gonna manage to do this but I wanted to try to editorialize my entire Wrestlemania week. What I can remember anyway…. you know I drink (my standard excuse).

We all know how the week prior to the live event is do or die time. WWE takes every opportunity within its allotted time to sell, sell, sell “the greatest show of them all”. At this point it only made sense for “The Rock” to actually make a live appearance. I don’t know about you but his phoning it in had long lost its appeal. Come on, the bantering back and forth is not something men do. Sometimes if I closed my eyes I could swear the divas had taken over. But FINALLY “Rock” makes an appearance. Although the segment was exciting it didn’t make the weeks of bitching worth it. Ehh, I wasn’t THAT impressed.

The night of Mania, I had a problem with my new cable service *sucks* and missed the first 20 minutes of the event. As I watched the rest of the event I realized I wasn’t really seeing too much of the host. WTF? Maybe there was confusion on the actual job duties of a host. What do the fans get for all of these weeks of girl talk between Rock and Cena? A Rock bottom. Ehhh, I guess it was okay.

I have a suggestion; can one of the  millions AND MILLIONS of The Rocks fans inform him that the world of wrestling didn’t stop when he walked away? I loved seeing him in the ring again. I sat on the end of my bed, aware that it was past my bedtime, to listen to every word that came from “the Electrifying Ones” mouth. Okay so he was going to be the host of Wrestlemania but then what?  Is he actually going to be around long enough to reinvent his persona? He’s taken a few blows and bumps but does he actually intend to make a full comeback? A partial one? I think these are valid questions.  I don’t know about you but I’m not in the mood to be an ego boost for “The Rock”. As one of the millions AND MILLIONS of “The Rocks” fans and Facebook friend I’m excited about Rocks wrestling future. But as a fan of wrestling news I’ve read time and time again where he has clearly stated how although he planned on returning to wrestling he was not planning on actually wrestling. Let’s face it, no one can out talk Rock on the mic, NO ONE PERIOD. But do we really feel up to going back to the day of the 22 minutes monologues?

And someone please tell me the purpose of setting a date to wrestle Cena at next years Mania? WTF, are they getting married? Who cares about Wrestlemania 28 the day after Wrestlemania 27? Let me be the first to say I could really care less. This past Monday night post Mania RAW was a waste of a woody. After a month of passionate speeches and school girl banter Rocky and ”Fruity Pebbles” kiss and make up. Awwww, they respect each other. Fans haven’t we seen this before? This is Rock/Hogan part deux. It’s going to take a year for Rock to pass the proverbial torch?  What happens in the meantime? Does it take that long for chest implants to heal after being removed? *woooooooo* Yeah, I said it. It was the elephant in the room so I just put it out there. You knew “Rock” has chest implants when he decided to film the Scorpion King didn’t you? Don’t get me wrong they look nice, rounded out and firm. *touches chest* I’m thinking of getting some for myself. Is he planning on getting them removed or is he going to hire Finley to teach him how to take bumps like the divas? This inquiring mind wants to know.

Dixie Carter is ruining my FB experience…

Just when I was beginning to believe I should consider giving Dixie Carter the benefit of the doubt she does it again. You would think I would have learned from her past announcements of must see tv. The wrestling fan in me wants to believe just as the child in me wants to believe that in some way that there may be a Santa. I make no secret that I’m a Facebook fanatic and I follow several wrestling entities including TNA owner, CEO, chic in charge, Dixie Carter. From time to time Dixie will hint that she’s moving and shaking and big things are about to happen in TNA. I’ve already been burned on her post which turned out to be the arrival of the ECW crew. For the most part I felt she could have simply said “more old guys are coming”. I just wasn’t very impressed.

Even before TNA decided they would make an attempt at becoming a contender for the wrestling entertainment golden cup I watched the show. At risk of sounding like a broken record I once again have to mention that I liked watching Christopher Daniels and the X Division. Eventually, I found myself excited by the freshness of TNA talent. Finally, there were people wrestling on a wrestling show. All of a sudden familiar face started falling from the rafters like roaches. It’s quite understand how the roar of the crowds can be addictive and couldn’t blame one person for taking advantage of the opportunity to feel it again. I get that Booker T, Kurt Angle and even Christian would feel they have a few years left in them and have more to give but COME ON Ric Flair! Is anyone surprised that Ric had those deflated mammaries on display within a few weeks of his arrival? Why is he wrestling? Why is Hogan in the ring? Essentially, these guys are kicking and screaming as the casket attempts to close on their careers.

Would it have been too much to have these “icons” come in to usher in the new era of young wrestlers? Why is the talent going to waste while a druggie and “Old Play” (not to be confused with Cold Play) are glorified? Okay, okay I’m only repeating myself from before not to mention I’m off track from my reason for this rant.

Back to Dixie. So she posts that the last few minutes of TNA are a must see. Okay Dixie I’ll be watching anyway but don’t f- me over. As a wrestling fan I sit on the edge of my bed and make sure not to switch the channel or become distract as I have a tendency of doing. In case you missed it I’ll recap it for you. As the show ended I watched with clinched fists because I felt used by Mrs. Carter for TNA’s ratings. finally, a familiar scene…… a dark and stormy night, i think there was cryptic music and you guessed it…. boots and the hem of a black leather trench-coat…. oops I almost forgot to mention the date 3-11-11 burning as the 15 second promo fades to black and into the next tv show. WTF? Obviously, Sting is returning but where for art thou common sense in this strategy? I know the wrestling business hates the internet and how we bloggers seem to know everything and have an opinion on everything but…….. IN MY OPINION it would have been a great strategic move to use this promo to kill the rumors that WWE’ s promos were possibly an introduction of Stings arrival. Then again maybe that’s just the evil genius.. I MEAN the Virgo in me. In essence TNA is the land of  “could have beens”. Some of the story-lines could have been great. Some of their wrestlers could have been stars. If you hold your head sideways and squint your eyes just enough you could see how TNA could be WCW.   Oh how I miss the days when the name Dixie Carter was just Julia Sugarbaker.

A little dye will do ya.

So after the back nd forth as to whether he would show up or he wouldn’t be an entrant in the Rumble or whether or not he was a member of TNA’s “They” Kevin Nash pops through the curtain as the 32nd contestant. Well, wait a minute, I misspoke. DIESEL was actually the 32nd contestant. Who would have expected that? Most of us expected to see Kevin Nash appear as “They” on TNA this week. But as the Rumble has come and gone and IMPACT has been taped we can pretty much guess He is not They. But you know he COULD pull a “Rick Rude” by showing up on both shows somehow.

Let’s face it Kevin Nash has done more harm, to professional wrestling, than good. He’s not a wrestling fan he simply likes to make his money. It was Kevin Nash who has done everything possible to pull the curtain back on the wrestling business. The art of wrestling is believability; make the fans feel it, make them believe it. I was fine not knowing what “blading” was until he showed up on a nonwrestling show and put out like a freshman at the senior prom.

As it stands he doesn’t know how he will be used in the WWE which is a sign that his star power has dwindled. There is no way Nash can be the force that HHH is or HBK was. Kevin Nash has made a career of screwing people over and taking instead of contributing. One of his last statements in TNA was that the guys in the back are the guys he would normally take money from. He’s right. This is what he did in WCW. No one could make more than him. Any star coming in with a higher salary instantly caused his salary to increase by a dollar more than theirs.  He’s broken character for his own selfish reasons and left his friends/friend (HHH) to take the fall.

Now he’s looking at the end of his career and who does he turn to? The same company he screwed over and over again. Of course I would hire him if I were Vince. I would hire him and make him dance. But let’s face it, the only REAL reason Kevin Nash returned to WWE and accepted being Deisel is so he can be at HBK’s HOF induction. Now, we’ll watch as Shawn Waltman finds his way back in. The only true members of the clique really interesting are HBK, HHH, Nash and Scott Hall. But would it really be a reunion without Scott Hall? Will he be out of rehab by then? Will he be out of jail? And how could it be a “reunion” without Chyna? How intestesting that she would now announce that she is leaving the spotlight and returning to school so she can teach English to the Japanese? The Old Grey Gang, they ain’t what they use to be.

(sucking teeth) I don’t know guys this returns wreaks, of desperation, to me. Returning as Diesel? isn’t that gimmick taken at the moment? He may as well have returned as OZ.

Ok, OKAY!!! I guess I’LL be in the Hall of Fame. Geesh

Finally, the wrestling world has found itself in the midst of a positive buzz. As we find ourselves on the road to Wrestlemania we know there are surprises ahead. With anticipation we watch as wrestlers step up their game to get us to spend sixty bucks to watch them perform on the “grandest stage of them all”. Yes fans we are in the playoffs of our wrestling year.

So far, we know that Shawn Michaels will headline the Hall of Fame ceremony. We also know that Roberto Del Rio, who was my pick to win the Rumble (shines nails on shirt) has decided to face the world champ (at the moment Edge) for the title. BUT it is customary to announce a new inductee weekly. For now it looks as though it’s going to be “the Shawn Michaels’ Show.” But come on, haven’t the last 15 years been “the Shawn Michaels’ Show?” I’m sorry but that ain’t selling me no ticket.  Much like his hero Ric Flair, Shawn is a showman in every sense of the word, right down to crying at the drop of a dime. So there you go I just summed up the whole ceremony thus-far.

The rumor mill is churning out a few names of other potential inductees.  I’m going to try my best to keep this in the middle of the road and keep this from going all ADHD here. One of the rumored inductees is Marty Lunde better known to us as “Arn Anderson.” What’s the hold up with this decision? It’s my opinion that AA should have been inducted the year after Flair’s induction. “The Man” and “The Enforcer” go hand in hand. We’re talking about a guy who has pretended to be a son and nephew, without breaking character, for well over 20 years. Not only is he a founding member of the most famous clique, in professional wrestling today, but he is also a senior producer for WWE. Again, where is the question here?

Another name being thrown around is one that may not be as familiar to most of you but I’m from the south and I knew the name before I was probably able to talk. “Bullet” Bob Armstrong may be better known today as the father of “Road Dog” Jesse James.Until a few months ago, his son, Scott Armstrong was a WWE referee.  The father, of wrestlers Brad, Steve, Scott and Jesse James and an unsung hero of the south, I personally cannot conceive of a more deserving wrestler to be inducted this year.

I know I’m not telling you anything new by saying that the biggest rumor of them all is that Sting is being named as a possible 2011 HOF inductee. With this comes the discussion as to whether or not Sting would finally join the WWE roster. Aside from his grand wrestling career it is also well known that Sting has never migrated to WWE. I, for one, applaud Sting’s decision to not place his career and legacy in the hands of  Vince McMahon. Steve Borden’s integrity carry as much weight as the Undertaker’s Wrestlemania winning streak. Does Sting deserve an official place in wrestling history? Hell yeah, no doubt about it. I have reason to believe that an invitation to become a member of the HOF may come with a few strings attached. HANG IN THERE STING! Induction in to the HOF would be to celebrate your legacy not create it.

Whomever is chosen to be apart of the Hall of Fame WWE is not filling us with anticipation with their boute of constipation.

10 Years Later Fan Nurses Boo Boo

I’m sure by now you’ve all heard the story of Ronald Basham, (no not the 3rd Basham Brother) the teenager who is suing HHH, The Rock and WWE. The lawsuit itself is not that big of an issue, I’m sure these 3 entities have been sued more times than they can count. If you haven’t heard the story, several years ago Basham was attending a live wrestling show and during a match between The Rock and HHH the action inside of the ring spilled outside of the ring and into the audience. During the altercation, as I’m sure anyone would expect, control was lost momentarily. In the midst of the minimal chaos Basham, who at the time was probably all of 9 or 10 years old, was reportedly injured.

For this wrestling fan this is a story of how a true fan, especially a kid, who attends an event, has the audacity to be offended because they became apart of the show. I’ve been to more wrestling events than I can think to imagine. I’ve sat as close as 3 rows from the front and as far back as the ceiling. On a night I will never forget, Jeff Jarrett, came through the crowd and in front of me. Now I’m from the south and I’m just chalked full of manners and thought it would be rude to reach out and touch him. But at the very last minute I did it! Let me say that touching Double J gave me a whole new respect for the work these guys put into conditioning their bodies. This guys body had no give….. I guess I expected him to feel something like a memory foam mattress and maybe be a tiny bit of cushion.

Anyway, if at ANY point Double J and whomever he was running from had tossed, tumbled and rumbled in my section, in my row or on my friggin lap I would have been the happiest fan in wrestling history. You couldn’t have jackhammered the smile off of my face. The report is that the young Basham was injured during this brawl and (I don’t know) now walks with a reverse limp or something (being a smartass). But over the last decade has had “lingering injuries” that eventually lead to a surgery on his knee. From what I understand it is Young Ronald and not his parents who initiated the lawsuit. This leads me to believe that this surgery and his age are a bit convenient. had he had his surgery when he was a few years younger I’m sure his parents’ insurance would have paid for it. Hmmm seems to me that the healthcare bill could really help him. I’m just sayin’ the timing smells fishy to me. Had Double J tumbled into the crowd and SEVERED my leg my mom would have made me wear it as a badge of honor. All I’m saying is that for the cost of seats, at a WWE event, I expect to be spit on, sweat on and bled on and if at the off chance I just happened to get brawled on I would consider it money well spent and so should Mr. Ronald Basham.

HBK on R-A-W and in the HOF

So I was one-eye watching RAW Monday night (you know where I do other things while periodically looking up at the tv) and just as I had my finger on the remote to switch to another channel I was told to stay tuned because there would be an announcement of the next future HOF inductee. I must admit Jerry Lawler did a fantastic job at keeping me tuned in. As I Facebook back and forth with my friend Dan and texting with Greg (hi guys…. thank you so much for supporting my dream) I made sure to let him know to let them know how I was certain this inductee would be either HBK or Sting. I had to hurry and get my guess in because, as I’ve said before, I’m a smart-ass. Of course I wasn’t surprised to have it revealed that Shawn Michaels would be apart of the class of 2011. However, it surprised the shiggidy out of me to have him actually appear in my bedroom…. well on my tv in my bedroom. It was at that moment I realized just how much Shawn meant to the profession of wrestling.

With his body practically useless and his boy-ish good looks abandoned by his hair-loss there was no doubt that The Heartbreak Kid still has it. Without saying a word he brought down the house which includes the arena, my house and my friend Dan’s house (he became a little bit emotional). As a young-ish husband and father it was a good decision for Shawn to retire. No matter how much we miss him you have to applaud him for removing himself from the game before it was too late.

The added bonus, to the bonus of his presence, was the most beautiful ballad of Sweet Chin Music I think I have ever seen. He helped kick Del Rio’s career right into mid-card status. Maybe, Shawn will be one of the first retirees to actually remain retired. One thing’s for sure the past nine months have been oh-so lonely without The Show Stoppa.

Cross Rhodes…

I spent this weekend reading “Cross Rhodes. Goldust, Out of the Darkness” by Dustin Rhodes. I had reservations about purchasing the book. I don’t believe books written by wrestlers while they are employed, by the publisher of the book, to be fully honest. What employer do you know is going to pay his employee to talk sh!t about them? I mean, him employer is Vince McMahon. Vince is the same employer who fired Roddy Piper for his interview on Real Sports. Inspite of my misgivings about the book I’ve been a fan of Dustin since he was “The Natural”. At a very young age I was an avid wrestling fan and I knew Dustin was someone I expected to watch for years to come.

I remember sitting in front of the tv for weeks seeing the promos for the arrival of Goldust. Because I was such a smart-ass I spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to figure out the identity of the wrestler behind the character. I remember like it was yesterday, as the camera panned out slowly, for the big reveal. Never in my natural mind would I have imagined Goldust would be Dustin Rhodes in a wig. Needless to say I was beside myself. It was quite a while before I could no longer see Dustin and not Goldust. Initially, Goldust disgusted me because I knew it was Dustin, the young, virile, cowboy I grew up watching and admiring.

Anyone who has known of Goldust since his inception would probably remember the roller-coaster of breakdown of Dustin and his character. Dustin and Teri sat down with good ole JR for a heart to heart. In the interview they discuss the broken relationship between Dustin and dad, Dusty. Very touching interview and according to the book it was more of a shoot than a scripted interview. I remember watching the interview feeling I was peeking into someones windows at dinner time. You know, when the real conversations happen and you’re glad no one is around to see the dysfunction. Can you say “awkward” boys and girls?

I think I purchased the book because I knew of Dustins decend into drugs and alcohol. I wanted to know how Dustin felt about Goldust. Always a sucker for a good story I wanted to know what happened with ex-wife Terri. I wanted to know how Dustin felt about being used, to embarass his father, by Vince McMahon. I ordered the book from Amazon.com and when it arrived I noticed the book was rather thin; only 225 pages. I was concerned because this was a guy with 25 years in the wrestling business and there was no way to sum it up and kiss Vince’s butt in so few pages. The book was an easy read. I finished it, which is something that cannot be said for several books I have around here.

In this book, I learned that though the relationship has been turbulent, Dustin loves his dad. Dustin also LOVES Vince. Dustin also loves wrestling. There are no stories in the book only incidents being mentioned. It’s very well written and is actually a good enough read. I don’t think the book was meant to satisfy the wrestling fan looking for dirt. In this book Dustin takes responsibility, as he purges and gives thank,s to those who helped in throughout his career and on his road to sobriety. He’s even thankful for the character, of Goldust, for removing him from his father’s shadow and giving him a canvas to improve as an artist. He’s thankful to his family for doing whatever it is families do. He’s thankful to Vince for continuing to give him a chance. He’s even thankful to Goldust’s first opponent, Savio Vega, for ……. well…… bringing the “gay” out of Goldust.

As a fan of Dustin Rhodes’ I’m proud of his journey into recovery but as far as his writting career I’d like to see what he writes when he’s not dependent on Vince for his daily bread.

Free the beast

Hot off the twitter pages, it seems Awesome Kong has roped her “dream job”. One can only hope this means she’s on her way to WWE. I want nothing more than to be excited for her but the potential in this venture could go either way.

Done correctly (which is unlikely) Kong would arrive as the powerful force she is. With Beth Phoenix, Maria, LayCool, Tamina and Nattie Neidhart as potential rivals I see great things on the horizon. It’s a slow turn but the day of the petite diva is turning into something that can be taken a bit more seriously. That’s one nip slip that could change the entire face of wrestling.

What is more likely to happen is that Kong will be brought in as a great force (mirroring Kane and Khali) and eventually fall into the category of class clown (also mirroring Kane and Khali). A good place for Kongs character to fall is in the shoes Chyna (eeh gaads). No matter how much of a disaster Joanie Laurer’s life turned out to be the character of Chyna remained, for the most part, less of a buffoon. Eventually, once she had he jawbone shaved down, we got a smile out of her and realized she was possibly a woman.

Of course you dont have to be a wrestling scientist to predict that one common mistake is bound to happen. It happened with Kane, Brock Lesnar and Abyss. that is the great breaking of the glass of silence. For some reason there is always some Einstein who makes the decision to place audible words into the mouths of beasts. Everybody knows beasts don’t talk (duh)! They have Jim Cornette or Bobby Heenan do it for them.

I say; keep Kong strong and silent…keep Kong awesome. And on the off chance Kong’s dream wasn’t to become apart of WWE and she really wanted to have the lead in The Black Swan (truly no pun intended and I just watched the movie) I wish her luck in her ventures.
